Evenflo is recalling 59,661 Reo by Revolve360 child seats because the headrest can shift out of position during a crash. NHTSA logged the campaign as 26C004000 on 17 July 2026.
If you own one, the short version is this: keep using the seat, but read the section below on what Evenflo is and isn’t telling owners yet. The remedy hasn’t been finalised.
Which seats are affected
The recall covers Reo by Revolve360 seats in six colourways:
- Nantucket
- Danvers
- Chelsea
- Holden
- Brookline
- Lenox
NHTSA’s notice points owners to Evenflo’s own recall report for the specific model numbers rather than listing them, so match your seat on both the model name and the colourway. The label with the model number and manufacture date sits on the side or underside of the shell.
Evenflo hasn’t published a manufacture date range in the NHTSA filing. If your seat is a Reo by Revolve360 in one of those six colours, treat it as in scope until Evenflo’s report tells you otherwise.
What goes wrong
NHTSA records the defective component as the headrest locking mechanism. In certain rear-facing and forward-facing positions, the headrest can shift position during a crash.
That makes the seat non-compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213, the standard governing child restraint systems. NHTSA states the consequence plainly: “A headrest that shifts unexpectedly may increase the risk of injury in a crash.”
Worth being precise about what that does and doesn’t mean. The seat is not failing in normal use, and nothing in the notice suggests the harness, the base, or the rotation mechanism is involved. The problem is confined to whether the headrest stays where you set it under crash loads, which matters because head and neck protection depends on that structure being where the seat was tested with it.
What Evenflo is doing
The remedy is still under development. That’s unusual to see stated so bluntly, and it’s the most important line in the notice.
Evenflo expects to mail interim letters to owners on 17 August 2026. Those letters notify owners of the safety risk. A second round of letters follows once an actual fix exists. Owners can reach Evenflo customer service on 1-800-233-5921.
So there is no repair kit, no replacement programme, and no refund on offer yet.
What to do now
Register the seat if you haven’t. Recall letters only reach owners the manufacturer can find, and registration is the single reason most parents hear about a recall at all. Evenflo’s registration page and the card that shipped with the seat both work.
Check your seat against the six colourways and Evenflo’s recall report.
Keep using the seat unless Evenflo tells you otherwise. NHTSA hasn’t issued a stop-use instruction here, and an unrecalled seat installed properly beats no seat or a hastily bought replacement installed badly. If that changes, the interim letter will say so.

If you own a different Revolve360
This is the question we expect most, so let’s be clear about it.
Evenflo’s Revolve360 family is large. The recall names Reo by Revolve360 specifically, in six colourways. Other seats in the range, including the Gold Revolve360 and the Revolve360 Slim, are not named in campaign 26C004000.
Don’t take that as a blanket all-clear from us, though. Check your own seat rather than relying on a family name: find the model number on the shell label and run it through NHTSA’s recall lookup or call Evenflo. Model families share marketing names across variants that are built differently, and this recall is a good illustration of why that distinction matters.
